Architecting instruments necessary for systemic changes and community-led development - online platform of resilient organic networks to mobilize and interconnect Intentional Communities oriented towards sustainable and harmonious lifestyles.
We perceive an evidence of Systemic Crisis on all levels: [Personal level] 1.Social alienation and loneliness; 2.Gap between real life engagement and virtual communication. [Social level] 1.Missing of community sense, disengagement from collective responsibilities; 2.Despite the wide use of social networks and online tools, it is still difficult to reach responsible participation and engagement for the issues that matter; 3.Existing social groups lose the sense of commitment and become dysfunctional when the group size grows unlimited and dilutes its initial ideas. [Global level] 1.Crisis of democracy: rigidness of command-and-control organizations and absence of synergy of bottom-up organizations; 2.Absence of systemic wholeness and the perspective of interdependent ecosystem.
Our innovative approach fosters the formation of organic social graph with the genome of natural organization - fractal stacking and interconnection of resilient and flexible networks.
The online platform will host compact micro-groups linked as small communities within expansive community networks. Specific online tools will be implemented:
The award will be used to implement the pre-prototype of the online platform.
Target group and social impact
The on-line platform can be applicable in different areas, but we are focused on Intentional Communities in Europe (permaculture, sustainable lifestyle, personal development, etc). We intend to pilot with several communities with the following impact expectations: 1. Forming specific micro-groups - to guarantee continuous engagement even on personal level; 2. Interlinking micro-groups that share a common cause and involving group coaches to facilitate online team building - to guarantee the emergence of a thriving community; 3. Forming balanced hierarchies of decision making that enable accurate representation of voices on different levels – an exemplar of community-led digital democracy; 4. Linking up different intentional communities - to build a sustainable social ecosystem.
