Relational art project that promotes creativity and shared planning through a board game based on historical memory and identity. Citizens have to play for planning their reality by creating and interconnecting places and knowledge.
The challenge relates to the introduction into the shared process (social, environmental and economic) of the “ludic” as x-factor able to break into the categories of "efficiency" and "profit" with the dimension of invention and creation, especially in relation to the design of spaces, places and ways of life with the people whom we live, or work. The idea addresses one of the most popular trends of our society: the fragmentation of knowledge and the resulting disconnected perception of reality, especially between public and private spheres.
1) Creation of a social software, openseurce, made available online to people for sharing historical memory and identity elements.
Target group and social impact
The project is aimed at residents of small towns or neighborhoods of large cities, workers of large companies, groups of artists and professional who works in social, economic or environmental. It can be spent on all those occasions when there is a need to imagine and build together a vision of community in a perspective of integrated development. The benefits include: improving the quality of life, cultural growth, sustainable development, increase in human capital, improving social and artistic environment . to educate a common perception where “capital built" is represented by all things created by individuals, “human capital” consists of all individuals of a society and “natural capital” is made from the natural environment and natural resources of that society.
Competences of the applicant
www.riverrun.it is a cultural association founded in 1997 in Cagliari. Riverrun has produced more than 50 projects of performing arts, and about 150 workshops for every age group in collaboration with public and private organizations, universities, schools, libraries and foundations. practice art and thought of "relationship", which is meant to emphasize the need for reciprocity in art.
